Women's Health and Family Planning of Texas WHFPT advocates for quality reproductive health care in Texas by seeking increased funding for family planning services for low income women and teens; reducing teen pregnancy through support of programs for high risk kids, and the promotion of comprehensive sexuality education in public schools; preserving access to safe and legal abortion; and developing educational materials on reproductive issues. YWCA Paris and Lamar County The YWCA Paris and Lamar County strives to educate, enlighten, entertain, engage and empower women and their families to promote leadership and create greater opportunities for all. 2008-2009 Advisory Committee EMERJ is a national movement building initiative to grow and strengthen the reproductive justice movement. We mobilize women of color around our lived experiences by bringing women of color together, encouraging our collective sustainability through mentoring and self-help, providing a framework that resonates with our lived experience, and organizing and mobilizing to affect change. Stephanie Thomas, ADAPT ADAPT focuses on promoting services in the community instead of warehousing people with disabilities in institutions and nursing homes. Attendant services are the cornerstone to community-based services for people with severe disabilities. |
